Asin, the damsel from Kerala who has carved a niche in Bollywood is now taking it easy. Of the six Hindi movies she had done, four are well within Rs.100-cr club, which is really awesome. Her next Hindi release will be “Aise Ko Taisa” scheduled to be released in June 2013 and “Vaaliban”(Tamil) in July 2013. Apart from these two movies, “Ab Ka Saya” is expected only in April 2015. It would really be surprising to note that the actress has not signed for any other film in any language.
Last month in an interview to a leading newspaper Asin had remarked: “I feel there is a lot more to me that have so far not been seen in Bollywood and I find it funny when they say that you are the lucky mascot and part of the 100-crore club, though that does not define me. I got time to sit and think and relax when recently I took this backpacking trip with my school friends to the US. Now that I have the numbers, I want to take up roles where I get to act.”
In the interview, she opened out that she needed her own time to sit back and relax, and that’s why she went on a trip to the US with a friend of her own. But, the Bollywood grapevine is abuzz that Asin’s has finally found her true love there; her frequent trips to America in the past few months were to spend time with her new love. Bollywood sources say that she isn’t going to take any new offers because of her impending marriage.
The actress who can speak 7 languages has been approached by a top South Indian director for his next project. Asin has heard the script and given green signal to work in the project. So, it would not be a big surprise if the charming Cochin born lady signs up for the project, later this year. Fans need to keep their fingers crossed .
