Ram had directed the film Katrathu Thamizh which had Jiiva in the lead role. After this he did not direct a film for a long time. Now he has directed a film titled Thanga Meengal. Director Gautham Menon has produced this film.
This film is about the emotional attachment between the father and daughter. When Gautham Menon heard the story, he asked director Ram himself to don the lead role.
Because of this Ram took some training and acted as an affectionate father in this film. Similarly an 8 year old girl Sadhana has donned the role of daughter. The trailer of this film was released recently. Some of the scenes in the trailer touched the hearts of everyone.
People who spoke on this occasion said that they were confident that this film will definitely bag lots of awards. Moreover Rohini has donned the role of hero’s mother. The hero of this film is director Ram. Though there is no much difference in their ages, Rohini donned the role of his mother in an aged get up because she liked the role very much.
